Body Modifications

20+ Years of Pushing Boundaries & Body Art

"the guy with the holes"

My Journey

For over two decades, I've been exploring the art and science of body modification. What started as a single ear piercing (in what is now removed helix tissue) has evolved into a lifelong passion for transformation, self-expression, and pushing the boundaries of what the human body can become.

From sclera staining to subdermal implants, from a bifurcated tongue to extensive stretching each modification tells a story and represents a deliberate choice to shape my body.

"Transformation, whether it's code or body, is about pushing boundaries and making intentional choices."

Let me be clear, when I talk about making intentional choices, I mean that every modification is a conscious decision. That's not to say that I haven't made mistakes or gotten the occasional silly tattoo (looking at you 2014 "Shopping list: milk, bread, anal beads, cocaine"), but even those choices were made with intention and a sense of humor.

Timeline

  1. Early 2000s

    The Beginning

Started my journey with traditional piercings — ears, nose, and lip. This was the foundation of what would become a lifelong passion for body modification.

  2. 2005–2010

    Expanding the Collection

Added multiple facial piercings, stretched lobes, and began experimenting with dermal anchors. Each modification told a story and became part of my identity.

  3. 2012–2015

    Advanced Modifications

Transitioned to more extreme modifications including scarification, branding, and my first subdermal implants. This period defined my commitment to body art as a form of self-expression.

  4. 2018

    Tongue Bifurcation

One of my most significant modifications — bifurcating my tongue. The healing process was challenging but incredibly rewarding. This mod completely changed how I experience taste and speech.

  5. 2020

    Sclera Staining

Underwent sclera tattooing (eye tattooing), one of the most extreme and permanent modifications available. This procedure requires an experienced professional and comes with significant risks.

  6. 2022–Present

    Continuous Evolution

Continuing to add to my collection with new piercings, expanding subdermal implants, and exploring innovative modification techniques. The journey never truly ends.

Major Modifications

Here's an overview of my most significant body modifications. Each represents hours of research, careful planning, and working with skilled professionals.

Sclera Staining

Extreme

Full Cyan sclera staining on both eyes. One of the most extreme and visible modifications, requiring a single short session and significant commitment. A permanent transformation that fundamentally changes how I see the world literally and figuratively.

Tongue Bifurcation

Extreme

Split tongue modification creating a forked appearance. An intense procedure that required careful healing and relearning how to speak and eat. The result is both functional and visually striking.

Subdermal Implants

Extreme

Various silicone implants placed in the subdermal tissue in my forearms to create raised designs and shapes. These three-dimensional modifications add texture and dimension, creating a truly unique aesthetic.

Surgical Ear Modification

Extreme

Various procedures conducted in tandem to reshape and modify the structure of my ears. This includes removing parts of the helix to create a more unique, "orc-like" appearance, as well as other alterations to achieve a unique aesthetic. These modifications are more invasive than other body modifications and require careful healing and maintenance. They also really fucking hurt.

Scarification

Extreme

Intentional facial scarring to create raised, textured designs on the skin. This modification involves cutting or branding the skin to produce permanent scars that form specific patterns or images. The healing process is crucial to achieve the desired aesthetic, and the result is a unique form of body art that combines both texture and visual design.

Facial Tattoos

Heavy

A collection of facial tattoos that range from small symbols to larger pieces. These tattoos are a significant commitment due to their visibility and permanence, but they hold personal meaning and contribute to my overall aesthetic.

RFID Implant

Heavy

A small RFID chip implanted under the skin typically in the hand. This modification allows for various technological interactions, such as unlocking doors or storing personal information. It is reversible and highly specialized modification that combines my two favorite interests: technology and body modification.

Philosophy & Approach

Research First

Every modification begins with extensive research. Understanding the risks, healing process, long-term implications, and finding the right professional is crucial.

Professional Artists

I only work with experienced, reputable body modification artists who prioritize safety, sterility, and proper technique. Your body deserves the best.

Healing & Care

Proper aftercare is essential. Following healing protocols, maintaining cleanliness, and being patient during the healing process ensures the best outcomes.

Intentional Choices

Each modification is a deliberate decision, not an impulsive act. I consider the meaning, aesthetics, and long-term implications of every change.

Quality Jewelry Matters

I'm passionate about high-quality body jewelry. The right jewelry makes all the difference in comfort, healing, and aesthetics. I keep a dedicated page of people and businesses I genuinely trust and recommend including the jewellery makers I wear every day.

Jewelry Tips

  • Material Matters: Use implant-grade titanium, niobium, or solid gold especially during healing.
  • Proper Sizing: Jewelry that's too small or too large can cause complications. Get professionally fitted.
  • Quality Over Cost: Cheap jewelry can lead to irritation, allergic reactions, and healing issues.
  • Regular Cleaning: Keep jewelry clean to prevent buildup and maintain optimal healing.

Important Information

Body modification is serious. While I'm passionate about my modifications, I want to be clear about some important points:

  • Do Your Research: Understand the procedure, risks, healing time, and long-term implications before committing.
  • Find Professionals: Only work with licensed, experienced body modification artists with proper credentials and portfolios.
  • Safety First: Ensure proper sterilization, use of new needles, and adherence to health regulations.
  • Know the Risks: All modifications carry risks including infection, scarring, and complications.
  • Consider Impact: Think about how modifications might affect employment, social situations, and future decisions.
  • Mental Health: Ensure you're making decisions from a healthy mental state, not as a response to crisis.

This is my journey and my choice. Your body, your choice but make it an informed, safe one.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does it hurt?

Pain is subjective and varies by procedure, location, and individual pain tolerance. Most modifications involve some discomfort, but it's temporary. The healing process often requires more patience than the initial procedure.

Do you regret any of them?

No regrets. Each modification represents a moment in my journey and a conscious decision. Even if my aesthetic preferences evolve, these modifications are part of who I am.

How do you handle professional settings?

I'm fortunate to work in tech where body modifications are generally more accepted. I'm open about my modifications and believe that competence matters more than appearance. The right workplace will value your skills and respect your choices.

Can I ask you questions about body mods?

Absolutely! I'm happy to share my experiences and knowledge. However, I'm not a professional body modification artist I can share my perspective, but always consult with professionals for medical and procedural advice.

Where should I start if I'm interested?

Start small. Get a simple piercing from a reputable piercer. Experience the process, learn about healing and aftercare. As you become comfortable, you can explore more. Never rush into extreme modifications.
